Creating brand brilliance with Fiona Humberstone

Let me tell you about the time I interviewed one of my biggest role models ever for the podcast. Oh, wait, THAT’S RIGHT NOW.

Honestly, I’m still a bit starstruck. The fact that I could hit publish on an episode like this as a new podcaster is so freaking cool. I’m amazed by how this show is blossoming (over 4K downloads!) + taking on a unique life of it’s own — so much so that I’m now able to book guests like the one on this week’s episode!!

I want to introduce you to designer + renowned brand consultant, Fiona Humberstone. You may know her as The Brand Stylist behind her #1 bestselling books  “How to Style Your Brand” + “Brand Brilliance” or her most beautiful website + instagram account @thebrand_stylist.

At least, that’s how I know her.

I first came across Fiona’s work when I was side-hustling + this business was still very much a hobby. I remember wanting to have a website + put myself out there so badly but had NO IDEA how to create an identity for the brand I was so desperate to bring to life. As you well know by now, without an established brand identity, it’s basically impossible to grow a business.

Then, one night over a bowl of lo mein + a glass of Prosecco, I found Brand Brilliance + the rest is history.

Now, here I am, interviewing the person who pretty much got me, well, HERE.

Anyway, enough fan-girling…

Go listen to this new episode with Fiona Humberstone.

We talk about her books of course but, more importantly, what the makers out there like us can do to be consistently intentional with our brands, even when life gives us every reason to just let it slide so we can keep up with the day to day hustle.

That’s not how running a business should feel + it’s certainly not how you want to live your life.

I know that for damn sure.

Fiona also tips us off on unique trends to keep an eye on + what you can do to make sure your brand stays aligned with exactly what your audience wants + needs.

This year has been a doozy but Fiona reminds us how we can, in true Brand in Bloom fashion, stay rooted to what matters so we can create a meaningful business + life.

I couldn’t think of a better episode to both round out this year + kick off a new one. I don’t know about you but I’m feeling energized by the clean slate ahead, even though it’s bound to get a bit messy too.

Episode Highlights:

>> [3:31] Tips for the busy business owners who are not making branding a priority or want to but are just struggling to make it happen

>> [8:23] What you can do to get off the hamster wheel of hustling in your business so you have more time to focus on what matters when it comes to growing your brand
